  1. Excellent Gordon. I love a good gear list I do. Mine, by the way, has changed substantially since I posted it on my blog a few weeks back. It's now far slimmer. I'm an ultralight god now, me. 😂

Hope to see you somewhere on the way across.

  2. Post script

Are you carrying enough food? I reckon on nearer a kg per day.

  3. Great to hear that you are an ultralight god.

    Although it's to cover 4 days, day 3 is in a B & B.

I make up my calories in pubs and other eateries, eg Corrour Station (excellent food and beer)

  6. Thanks Gordon. A good list. I count for 600 gms of food per day but TGo has pub stop each thrid day approx (Ft.A, Aviemore, Braemar) so there is easy restocking. Typical for us on food is porridge, one energy bar, nuts and raisins for snacks, cheese/salami/pita, more nuts and dried fruit, a vacuum meal (or home equiv), chocolate. Tea always and hot chocolate for pleasure plus a dram of scotch. Windburner stove. Dyneema packs and tent (HMG, Zpacks), NeoAirXlite. Altra Lone Peak 4.0, NEW Rab pants etc.

  11. Hi Dara, great fun with lists :-) I never carry enough food, but can supplement it with pubs and eateries. Hope to meet you again at some point.
Hi ed, Vanessa is right :-) last year I wore a pair of "Chinese " shoes which are very light - cost around £9 including shipping from China :-)
